Camp Springs Energy Center I Wind Project

The Camp Springs Energy Center went into commercial operation in June 2007. It is located about 80 miles northwest of Abilene in Scurry County, Texas. The project contains 87 General Electric wind turbines rated at 1.5 MW each for a total size of 130.5 MW. The estimated annual energy production capability is 482 million kW hours. Camp Springs Energy Center was originally developed by Wind Tex Energy and subsequently sold to Invenergy LLC.
